, Fremont Brewing Re-Reopens Its Beer Garden After COVID-19 ScareIt’s been a rollercoaster ride for a Seattle brewery after its newly-reopened beer garden shut down again when an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

Here’s the deal…

On June 6 Fremont Brewing, the largest and oldest taproom in Seattle, Washington reopened its beer garden under the guidelines set forth by the state’s “Safe Start” reopening plan.

But 10 days later Fremont’s Urban Beer Garden (UBG) was closed again after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

That employee, who was asymptomatic, worked only one shift (July 9th) at the taproom and the brewery, which took every effort to open in keeping with state guidelines took to social media to announce that it had reclosed the venue over coronavirus concerns…

The employee had an “acceptable temperature,” wore personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice social distancing and best sanitation practices while working their shift, according to a tweet from Fremont Brewing.

After the discovery, and the beer garden’s immediate closing, Freemont did an extra deep sanitation cleaning of the beer garden as well as both brewery locations and asked that all that all its employees be tested for COVID-19.

And after its entire staff tested negative for the virus, Fremont announced over the weekend that it we re-reopening its legendary Urban Beer Garden on Father’s Day.
