The Neighborhood Restaurant Group, a beer restaurant and brewing consortium in the Washington DC area, is extending its reach to the Big Apple.

Here’s the deal…

, DC Beer And Restaurant Powerhouse Extends Its Vision TO NYCThe Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG) is an award winning collection of independent and idiosyncratic businesses devoted to the culinary arts in Washington DC that under the tutelage of beer director and partner Greg Engert has become a force in the craft beer biz.

Engert is responsible for all of the impressive beer menus at NRG restaurants and bars locations including Rustico, ChurchKey, The Sovereign and Owen’s Ordinary and others.

Engert also oversees Bluejacket NRG’s independent DC brewery which opened in in 2013, as well as Snallygaster, one of the nation’s most impressive annual beer festivals.

So what’s next?  New York City…that’s what’s next.

According to the City Paper the Neighborhood Restaurant Group will be opening its first NYC venue in Manhattan’s Lower East Side this fall.

NRG’s The Grand Delancey will debut inside Market Line, a 120,000-square-foot food hall located below Delancey Street boasting 30 NYC food vendors.

, DC Beer And Restaurant Powerhouse Extends Its Vision TO NYCPlanned to open in October, The Grand Delancey will offer 50 draft lines, and five lines of those will feature side pull faucets traditionally found in the Czech Republic…

There will also be international classics like De La Senne, De Ranke, Blaugies, and Cantillon, rare beers not commonly found in the states that NRG celebrates at its all Belgium beer DC venue, The Sovereign.

In addition to showcasing NRG’s own Bluejacket brews and mid-Atlantic hotties like Richmond, Virginia’s The Veil, The Grand Delancey will tap into to NYC’s most exciting breweries, cutting-edge players like Brooklyn’s Folksbier, Threes Brewing, Grimm Artisanal Ales and Other Half.

The Grand Delancey will also offer authentic cask ales as well as an extensive cellar selection of some of the hottest beer styles today, like hazy IPA, fruited sour ales, and adjunct stouts. Beers that will only enrich New York City’s growing craft beer scene.
