When one thinks Coors, more times than not, its flagship Coors Light brand comes to mind. That’s not surprising, after all it’s the second bestselling beer in America, and has been for a while.

But there’s another Coors brand with a rich western heritage, Coors Banquet Beer, which has been brewed for almost 150 years.

And with one of the worst wildfire seasons on record, Coors Banquet is building on its eight-year relationship with the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF) and partnering with California-based lifestyle brand, Brixton, as a part of its ‘Protect Our West’ initiative.

The show will feature alt rock favs, Cold War Kids, for an exclusive two-man acoustic set that fans can’t get from their current tour.

In-person tickets to the show will be invite only for the WFF community, but beer and music fans looking to support the cause can tune in starting at 7:30 PST to the livestream HERE. The livestreamed show is free, but viewers will be able to donate through the feed and tune in for the exclusive set from the comfort of their own home.

The work to raise awareness and funds for the WFF doesn’t end there. Brixton and Coors Banquet will be dropping a ‘Protect Our West’ fashion collection on November 1, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Foundation.

Coors Banquet, which was born in Golden, Colorado in 1873 and is brewed there exclusively to this day, has long embraced its western roots and the people who defend it. In 2014 Coors Banquet Beer began its support of the Wildland Firefighters Association and that commitment continues today.

The WFF provides help to the families of wildland firefighters who have lost their lives or are injured in the line of duty.

Since the partnership began Coors Banquet has donated more than $1.75 million to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation staying true to their commitment as a brand to protect the land, wildlife, and communities of the western United States.

Even once the forest fires in the Western States subside, work to rebuild communities and help first responders is only the beginning. Coors Banquet’s partnership with the WFF helps ensure that efforts continue being made to acknowledge our country’s wildland firefighters.
