“Cheers” Actor Kelsey Grammer To Open Brewery

Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer, who also made a name for himself as one of the barroom regulars in television’s long-running “Cheers,” is putting his background to good use and opening a craft brewery near the Catskill Mountains.

Speaking to Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly and Ryan, the actor acknowledged that he was in fact getting into the beer biz, and has been building a brewery on a property he’s owned for the past 25 years.

The soon to open Faith American Brewing is based in Margaretville, New York – a village on the northern edge of the Catskill Park.

Named after his five-year-old daughter Faith Evangeline Elisa, the new brewery, which is still in its final stages of construction, is located inside a barn on a dairy farm that the actor used to visit for Thanksgiving as a child.
