Encouraged by the overwhelming success of Busch Light Apple’s return, Anheuser-Busch will dropping another fruit-forward variation, and this time they’re asking their fans to weigh in.
Let’s start with the beer, a rare release with a rabid cult following, Busch Light Apple.
When Anheuser-Busch launched Busch Light Apple in the summer of 2020, no one expected the fruity twist on a traditionally straightforward beer to catch fire as it did. Known for its rugged, outdoorsy brand image, Busch Light wasn’t the first name you’d associate with innovation—or apples. But that’s exactly what made the release so memorable.
Originally conceived as a limited-time offering, Busch Light Apple caught on quickly. When it returned in 2021, the apple-forward” lager sold over one million cases in less than nine weeks, prompting the brand to roll out the beer nationwide in 2022.
Circana called Busch Light Apple, “the #1 beer innovation so far this year,” in 2025, outselling the nearest competitive innovation three times over. Since its return in May, Busch Light Apple has become the #1 fastest-growing brand in the beer industry “cementing its status as one of the ultimate summer beers,” (their words, not ours).
But Busch Light Apple wasn’t the only fruit-forward Busch light variation. In 2023, Busch Light debuted Busch Light Peach, a limited-edition summer lager that smashed records in its first year in market as the #1 innovation across the entire beer industry. And in 2025 Anheuser-Busch dropped Busch Light Lime and it too was a huge hit.

And now Busch Light is asking its fans to help decide its next flavor. From now through July 7, Busch Light invites 21+ beer drinkers nationwide to vote on and decide the brand’s next flavor innovation: Lemon, Orange, or Peach.
“Our fans are some of the most dedicated and vocal beer drinkers in the world, especially when it comes to their favorite flavors,” Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing, Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch, said. “We see their comments, we read their petitions, and we’ve decided it’s time to put the power in their hands. The Flavor Showdown is more than a vote. It’s a direct line to our fans to decide what they’ll be drinking next. We can’t wait to see whether Lemon, Orange, or Peach comes out on top.”
To get in on what the company is calling “The Flavor Showdown” 21+ fans need to go HERE or they can hit up the beer’s social media channels to cast their vote on Busch Lights’s next flavor.
Busch Light will also be hosting on-site taste-testing experiences at two of the summer’s biggest events, CMA Fest and NASCAR’s Chicagoland Race, where fans can sample all three potential flavors before they cast their vote.
