WHO WE ARE We started with some hops and a dream. A dream to become a community place for great food, beer, and conversation. A decade after a few locals got together, our award-winning restaurant has surpassed that dream. Today, we've become a favorite for locals and a destination spot for world travelers to come together to celebrate food, friends, and fun. WHAT WE DO Our coastal venue creates a magical alchemy for a memorable time: excellent food, handcrafted beer brewed fresh onsite, an award-winning dog-friendly patio, blazing fire fits, a tranquil view of the harbor, and close proximity to Mavericks, perhaps the most notorious wave in history. We're not the only ones who think we're special: In 2011, Travel + Leisure magazine selected us as one of America's Best Beach Bars. We think you'll agree. WHAT WE BELIEVE IN We're members of the global community who focus on environmentally-friendly policies. As the first green-certified business on the San Mateo County coast, we won this respected designation for our low energy and water usage, recycling programs, and use of sustainable seafood according to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program. We believe that our success comes with the responsibility to give back. Our philanthropic efforts have made a huge impact on our neighbors and the local economy. We've donated more than $500,000 to scholarships and charities; each year, we give a minimum of $10,000 in scholarships to students from Half Moon Bay High School. Our substantial contributions to our local economy have been honored with prizes for Outstanding Commitment to the Community by the National Restaurant Association. DOG-FRIENDLY Our welcoming vibe extends beyond mere humans. We're a dog-friendly hangout that welcomes your pooch with its very own, complimentary and house-made dog treats. Dubbed Maverick Bones, these canine creations are lovingly made with the spent grains from out artisanal beers. Because of our friendliness to four-legged creatures, we're proud that Bay Woof's Beast of the Bay Awards have named us Best Dog Friendly Restaurant and one of the Best Dog Friendly Bars in 2012.
