BrewDog’s World Domination Tour Continues

Brewdog, BrewDog’s World Domination Tour Continues

BrewDog is just killing it over in the United Kingdom, and the irreverent Scottish brewers, who clearly have global aspirations, are upping their game significantly and taking it on the road.

With the number of breweries now more 2000 in the UK (an astounding 64% rise in the last five years) craft beer in Britain has never been hotter and BrewDog is riding that incredible wave.

BrewDog’s UK sales were up an astounding 93% at the end of September 2017 and encouraged by that frothy growth  BrewDog’s ‘bad boys,’ Martin Dickie and James Watt  are looking to staff up over in England and further extend their reach.

According to the Drinks Business BrewDog “will recruit eight sales staff across the UK for its on-trade operations, including managers in the Home Counties, Scotland and the Midlands, and a national controller, as well as three off-trade account managers.”

BrewDog also launched their fifth Equity for Punks crowdfunding effort in October and that campaign is well on its way to surpassing their initial goal of raising £10 Million by December.

But there’s more…

As we reported back in March, the punk brewers announced plans to open a 50-room craft beer hotel in Columbus, Ohio…so that’s going on.

They also hired Wicked Weed’s Richard Kilcullen who’s now directing BrewDog’s new sour and wild ale facility, The Overworks, over in Scottland.

In addition to their growing presence in the United States BrewDog is actively scouting out a location for a new brewing operation in Australia and another in Asia.Brewdog, BrewDog’s World Domination Tour Continues

And back in their homeland, BrewDog will be expanding their family of 30 bars further into London with a new bar and micro-brewery scheduled to open in a neo-gothic development in downtown London.

It’s been quite ride for BrewDog so far…and one that is only accelerating at this point.

And where they end up in the future is anybody’s guess…but that’s part of what makes BrewDog such unpredictable fun.
