BrewDog has never been shy about breaking boundaries and its soon-to-open mega-bar in South London ups things considerably, what with freshly brewed beer, bowling, a podcasting studio, cocktails and coffee.

Here’s the deal…

With over 100 bars across the globe, export into 60 countries, and breweries in Columbus Ohio, Berlin Germany and Brisbane Australia, Scotland headquartered BrewDog will soon be opening what it calls its “biggest beer location in the world.”

Encompassing two floors of a 26,500sq ft. site, BrewDog Waterloo is seconds from the busy Waterloo rail platforms and minutes from the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and other world-famous landmarks.

“London’s beer scene is the rival of any in the world, and our supersized BrewDog Waterloo, at the epicenter of the UK’s busiest railway station, is a testament to that; this is quite simply one of the biggest things we have ever done,” said BrewDog co-founder and CEO James Watt.

Positioned as an “immersive experience,” BrewDog Waterloo is ambitious to say the least. In addition to an onsite brewery that customers can see, smell and even tour around there’s a speakeasy-style cocktail bar and lounge, and a spacious outdoor terrace for enjoying drinks amidst the greenery of a not-for-profit florist, selling flowers and potted plants to visitors passing by.

But that’s not all.

There’s a special gaming area complete with a duckpin bowling alley, shuffle boards and a slide to get between floors. The site will also feature Waterloo Podcast Project, a fully equipped podcast studio for those looking to record their existing audio adventures or launch a new podcast onto the airwaves.

And being mere moments away from the rejuvenated Waterloo Train Station, and across the road from King’s College, BrewDog Waterloo will use its dynamic urban location to offer meeting rooms and extensive workspaces as well.

BrewDog is also partnering with London’s hugely successful cult coffee brand Grind and opening a coffee shop within the BrewDog complex, serving coffee from 7am daily.

Opening on August 18th, “BrewDog Waterloo will be a destination for anyone seeking out great food, great drinks and an amazing time,” Watt added. We can’t wait for Londoners and visitors to the city alike to see our new flagship for the capital. Beer, bowling, cocktails and coffee.”
