We know we’re nearing one of our favorite times of year, NFL football season, because Bud Light has returned  Peyton Manning and Shane Gillis for another round of increasingly ridiculous things fans will do to get their hands on a Bud during the game.

The NFL’s Official Beer Sponsor is kicking off the 2026 season with two new commercials, the return of its popular team cans and a series of promotions aimed at making gameday a little more interesting for fans 21 and older.

Manning, a longtime face of Bud Light, is joined by comedian Shane Gillis in the new spots, “The Move” and “Armchair.” And as you might expect, neither commercial takes the simple approach to getting a cold Bud Light.

In “The Move,” a crowded bar is packed with football fans, all trying to get the bartender’s attention. Manning has what looks like a pretty good position at the bar until Gillis casually slides in and steals it. What follows is the familiar barroom battle for ordering position, with both men leaning, stretching and reaching through the crowd in an attempt to get noticed.

Armchair” moves the action from the bar to a football watch party at home. Manning finds himself facing a familiar gameday problem. He wants another Bud Light, but he also has one of the best seats in the house, an oversized recliner.

These hilarious spots which will run all season continue Bud Light’s long-running approach to football advertising, where it’s all about the lengths beer-loving fans will go to avoid missing a moment of the game.

Manning has been part of Bud Light’s NFL advertising world for years, so bringing Gillis into the mix gives the campaign a slightly different comic dynamic.

“This Bud Light campaign truly captures what it means to go great lengths for your team and showcases how fun it is to fan during the NFL season,” Manning said. “Partnering with Bud Light is my favorite NFL kickoff tradition and bringing Shane into the action this year made this one even funnier.”

Gillis, who starred in what we consider to be one of the funniest beer ads EVER was considerably more succinct.

“I enjoyed shooting this Bud Light commercial with Peyton,” he said.

But that’s not all.

Bud Light is bringing back its limited-edition team cans, with 27 NFL team partners represented in this year’s collection. The cans feature retro-inspired designs and give fans another way to show their allegiance once the season gets underway.

There is also a little more going on with the cans this year. Each features a QR code that fans 21 and older can scan for a chance to win prizes including a month of NFL+ Premium, tailgating gear, NFL tickets and other gameday upgrades.

There’s more.

Bud Light is also bringing back its Football Faceoff National Contest at participating locations around the country, where fans can compete for a chance to win tickets to Super Bowl LXI.

So, basically, Bud Light is once again betting that football fans will do just about anything for their team, a better seat and a cold beer. And judging by the new commercials, sometimes that includes dragging a recliner through a wall.

“Football season is Bud Light season,” added Todd Allen, SVP of Marketing for Bud Light. “With two hilarious new commercials featuring Shane and Peyton and our iconic team cans giving fans a chance to upgrade their experience all season, we’re making it fun to fan.”
