On April 5, things got rowdy at Revolution Hall in Portland as the Oregon Beer Awards celebrated the state’s best craft brewers.

Referred to as the “Oscars of Oregon Beer,” this year’s competition saw 972 entries from 104 breweries across the state evaluated by 89 judges, including brewers, industry veterans and journalists, in a double-blind presentation to ensure anonymity.

Breakside Brewery (10 total medals) was named Large Brewery of the Year. Wayfinder Beer was named Medium Brewery of the Year and UPP Liquids was named the Small Brewery of the Year.

Portland-area breweries earned 43% of all medals in 2026, while Central Oregon breweries (particularly those in Bend) took home a record 25 medals (29% of the total). The competition was highly selective, with only 8.9% of beers entered receiving medals
