Beer Spices Are Now A Grilling Thing

If you’ve ever had a Winter Warmer, or a Habanero IPA you’re not a stranger to a spiced beer.

But now Spiceology, a Spokane, Washington company that bills itself as the  “fastest-growing privately owned spice company in America,” has introduced a set of six new beer-infused blends which it formulated with the help of New Belgium Brewing, that look to expand on the concept of beer and backyard grilling.

Yep, now you can have a beer in hand as well as beer flavors spicing up your meat next time you’re grilling.

The new Spiceology beer-infused blends include Citrus Ginger, Habanero Grapefruit, Hot Honey, Moroccan Tagine, Summer BBQ, and Sweet & Sour, seasonings that tap into New Belgium’s most popular beers.

“When you think of Spiceology, you think of bold experimentation. And that’s exactly what you think of when you think of New Belgium,” said Tony Reed, Chef and Director of Innovations and Partnerships at Spiceology. “When we had the chance to pair the iconic flavors of New Belgium brands like Fat Tire and Voodoo Ranger with our spices, we knew that the flavors of barbecuing would never be the same.”

Like most collaborations, New Belgium’s partnership with Spiceology is about cross-marketing (not that there’s anything wrong with that). And it’s not the first time that that the Ft Collins-headquartered brewery, which is now owned by an Australian subsidiary of Kirin, has gotten involved with food products.

In 2019, New Belgium partnered with Niman Ranch, a major sustainable beef and pork producer, on a new line of Fat Tire meat products which included foods like Fat Tire Beer Bratwurst and Fat Tire Spicy Cheddar Beer Bratwurst., Beer Spices Are Now A Grilling Thing

And now you can spice up those sausages with this beer-infused mix…

“As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year and look ahead to the future, we remain committed to partnering with brands like Spiceology who give us the opportunity to experiment in ways we haven’t before,” said Shaun Belongie, VP of Marketing at New Belgium Brewing…

“Collaborating with Spiceology gives us the opportunity to pair our world-class beers with custom-blended rubs while working with a company that shares our values.”
