This weekend’s collection of new beer offerings are warm weather-ready and primed for chasing down.…
Watch Towers (Cooperstown, NY) – HBO and Brewery Ommegang have announced the final Game of Thrones Series release, ending a six year and 15 beer run. Hopped with Hallertau Magnum and Styrian Golding hops, maple syrup and fenugreek, an herb with a maple-like aroma and flavor, Ommegang My Watch Has Ended is an 8% ABV Imperial Brown Ale that will ship in the fall.
Frank Zappa Inspired (Longmont, CO) – Oskar Blues has a new Steep Coast Mountain IPA Series release, a line of single-hopped beers that explores different varietals, this time the Zappa hop. As complex and provocative as its musical namesake, Oskar Blues Steep Coast Zappa DIPA is an 8& ABV India Pale Ale that, like Frank Zappa, pushes the envelope.
An Island White That Gets It Right! (Kihei, HI) – Maui Brewing is returning an award-winning classic for the first time in years. Brewed with coriander and local citrus and featuring soft herbal spice aromatics. Maui La Perouse White is a 5.2% ABV Witbier with a lively effervescence and a crisp citrus finish.
A Fog Buster (San Francisco, CA) – Potrero Hill, the neighborhood that Anchor Brewing calls home is known for its fog-busting heights…and they’ve named a summer IPA to honor that. First developed at Public Taps, Anchor’s pilot brewery which is located right across the street from their production facility, Fog Breaker IPA is a 6.8 % ABV India Pale Ale with intense aromas of ripe pineapple, melons and resinous pine, and assertively bitter taste.
16oz Blondes Are More Fun (San Diego, CA) – Green Flash Brewing is now offering one its most popular beers in 16oz cans. Laid-back by its nature and fresh by demand, Green Flash CFB Blonde Ale is a 4.8% ABV refresher with bright notes of honey and orange peel and a subtle malt character.
