BrewDog Introduces Planet Positive Bar Vans

You know those tricked-out beer vans that come complete with draft lines to serve beer at events? Well as part of its commitment to fighting climate change  BrewDog has begun transitioning its vans to more ‘earth-friendly’ models.

The Scotland-headquartered and now global craft brewery’s latest addition to its family is a modified Nissan e-NV200, a super-slick 100% electric van that’s been converted into a fully working bar equipped with two taps and a fridge full of beers. Inside you’ll find a refrigerated draft system and space to store 100 liters of beer, electrified by Nissan.

With close to 200 miles per charge, it’s an eco-conscious alternative which has already made its way to some of the biggest beer and music festivals in the UK puts as BrewDog explains “amazing beer and sustainability at the heart of the experience.”

Alpine Beer Garden Embraces the Midwest Winter

Few things are as chilling as a Great Plains winter, people who have never lived in the Midwest don’t have a clue. But Buffalo Creek Brewing, located 30 mile north of Chicago in Long Grove, Illinois is embracing the season starting on Black Friday.

After a successful inaugural run last year, the German-style brewery will once again be transforming its picturesque grounds once into an alpine winter retreat (minus the mountains) like they do in Europe.

“We’re mimicking the Europeans and creating a true alpine winter biergarten experience,” says owner/brew master Mike Marr, based on his travels abroad. “The beer will be cold but the atmosphere will warm your soul!”

Set against a scenic pine forest backdrop, the Alpine Biergarten at Buffalo Creek Brewing will once  again feature multiple roaring fire pits, patio and barrel table heat lamps, throws and apparel to stay warm, twinkle lighting, holiday décor, outdoor table service, and over two acres of winter wonderland to explore.
