Yay it’s May.  And American craft brewers are addressing things with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want to chase down.

Relax Just Do It (Baltimore, MD) – DuClaw Brewing has a new addition to its core lineup that’s been in production for years and is finally getting the spotlight. Described by the brewery as “a good pour for good times,” DuClaw Relaxed Fit is a 4.8% ABV Session IPA that does not disappoint.

“Looking back at our core lineup, we saw an opportunity to diversify, and add flair without sacrificing flavor,” said DuClaw CEO and Founder, Dave Benfield. “A great example of this is our ‘Relaxed Fit’ Session IPA, where we conquered the challenge of nailing a punchy hop flavor despite a low ABV.”

Study Up (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has returned a popular limited release that evolved from its small-batch, experimental Scratch Series. Ruthlessly dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado, Tröegs Field Study is a 6.2% ABV slightly hazy IPA with bright grapefruit, mango, pear and melon notes.

“Field Study began life as Scratch #327, when we first started tinkering with some new hopping techniques,” explains Tröegs brewmaster John Trogner. “We built on those experiments over the next few Scratch releases and landed on a grain bill featuring a backbone of Rustic Pale Malt.”

Summer Timed (Exton, PA) – Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to 20 locations up and down the East Coast, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and South Carolina. But now the company also has its own independent production facility and its latest release is summer-ready.

Hitting retail on May 5, Iron Hill Lemon Cerveza is a 5% ABV Mexican-style lager with a burst of fresh-squeezed lemon juice and lemon peel that inform but never overpower. “I originally brewed this beer for my wedding in Mexico,” explains award-winning brewer Pete Corbett. “Bringing it back in cans in time for summer has been an extraordinary experience.”
