Most memorable CBC Beer (Nashville, TN) – Sometimes the beer you remember the best at any beer gathering is your first. And the first beer we sampled at this year’s Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville came from Tailgate Beer. Part of the brewery’s rotating Hazy IPA line, Tailgate Welcome To Nashville was and uber-juicy 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale that we ended up drinking whenever we could. Getting Sauced (Bend, OR) – Goodlife Brewing has just released a special summer collaboration that they did with national recording artist G Love. Explained by the brewery as “the dankest of the dankest IPA’s known to mankind,” G. Love’s Special Sauce IPA is a 7% ABV India Pale Ale brewed to capture the artist’s tenor and soulful vibe.
Insurrection Anybody? (San Leandro, CA) – The 21st Amendment Brewery is returning a summertime addition as part of their popular Insurrection Series. Brewed with 100% fresh watermelon puree and kettle soured with lactobacillus for bright, citrus notes, 21st Amendment Watermelon Funk is a 6.7% ABV Sour Ale that turns up the funk factor to 11.
Shady Behavior (Eugene, OR) – Ninkasi Brewing is returning a popular summer seasonal that’s crafted using a medley of eight different hop varietals. Bold yet totally approachable, Ninkasi Maiden the Shade is a remarkably smooth, 6.8% ABV India Pale Ale that’s brewed with summer adventures the Pacific Northwest in mind.
An Imperial Precedent (Newport, OR) – Rogue Ales has just released a special Imperial IPA as part of the brewery’s Hop Family Series. Bursting with tropical aromatics and huge notes of pine, Rogue 10 Hop IPA is a 10.10% Imperial Ale that was brewed with 10 varieties of hops grown at Rogue Farms in Independence, Oregon.
