It’s late winter and craft breweries are addressing the season with a variety of intriguing cold-weather offerings…And we’ve five new craft beer directions that you might want to chase down.

Cherry Oh! (Denver, CO) – There’s been another Yeti sighting at Great Divide Brewing and we can’t wait to chase this one down. Deftly fueled on sweet and sour cherries, and cacao, Great Divide Chocolate Cherry Yeti is a 9.5% ABV Imperial Stout with trademark richness and swagger to spare.

Storm Warning (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing is joining the multitude of craft brewers introducing lagers with their latest offering. Pumped with bold citrus, pineapple and coconut aromatics and bright lime, orange and passion fruit tones, Stone Tropic of Thunder is 5.8% ABV refresher that’s out there now.

A Funk Up (Orange County, Ca) – For the first time ever, Bruery Terreux will be canning its first foeder aged beer. Tart and complex yet approachable,  Bruery Terreux Wit The Funk begins as a Wit ale brewed with coriander, orange peel and traditional Belgian Wit yeast. But things get increasingly wild after it ages in American and French oak foeders with Terreux house culture, Brettanomyces and other yeasts.beer, Beer Alert- New Hoppy Lagers, Imperial Stouts And Spruce IPA’s

Alaskan Spruces Things Up (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing is returning an award-winning favorite for a second year run and paying homage to Alaska’s official state tree at the same time. Slightly bitter yet imminently drinkable, Alaskan Spruce IPA is a bracing 7% ABV India Pale Ale with a light malt sweetness and spruce berry character.

Release The Kraken (Seattle, WA) – Fremont Brewing has released its first new year-round since 2017. Boldly unfiltered and brewed with Strata, Mosaic and a touch of Citra hops, Fremont Release The Sky Kraken is a 5.5% ABV Hazy Pale Ale bursting with ripe melon, juicy citrus, pineapple and pepper flavors and available now in 12-oz. cans, kegs and 22-oz. bottles.
