Winter is ON. And American craft brewers are addressing the season with a full slate of new beers you’re gonna want have around.
Key Lime Time (Baltimore, MD) Heavy Seas Beer is returning the third addition to its Joose Cannon Series, a line of different takes on the brewery’s flagship Loose Cannon IPA. Available on January 21 at the brewery’s 15 Barrel Brewhouse, Heavy Seas Joose Cannon: Key Lime Pie IPA is a 7.25% ABV Hazy India Pale Ale that was inspired by one of America’s most loved desserts.
“Joose Cannon: Key Lime Pie is a take on one of my favorite desserts,” said Heavy Seas Brewmaster Chris Leonard.’ We’ve used a silly amount of Lotus and Citra hops, along with lactose, 12 gallons of fresh key lime juice, and yes, graham crackers in the mash. Hopefully folks will find the beer as refreshing, satisfying and fun as I find the pie!”
Drinking A Thousand Beers (Portland, OR) – Cascade Brewing has a new January offering guaranteed to cut through winter’s haze. Aged in oak wine barrels with fresh tangerine zest and Northwest-grown red raspberries for up to two years, Cascade A Thousand Beers Between is a 5.5% ABV Sour Blond Ale that is meant to be consumed fresh.
Hard Not To Fudge (San Diego, CA) – AleSmith Brewing is celebrating winter’s arrival with a new edition to its Speedway Stout Series. A delicately indulgent rendition of AleSmith’s signature original, AleSmith Speedway Stout Double Fudge Edition is a 12% ABV Imperial Stout with a decadent combination of Dominican cocoa nibs, cocoa powder, Madagascar vanilla beans, and artisancoffee from Ryan Bros.
