With Memorial Day now behind us summer is officially ON and American craft brewers are addressing things with an intriguing roster of new releases you’re gonna want to have around as things heat up.
A Pilsner For The Masses (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has a new year-round offering that was first brewed at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens to service beer fans looking for something laid-back and light. As it turns out, that demand reached beyond the Bistro, and now Stone is releasing this “newbie” all throughout Southern California. Crisp and light bodied with a mild breadiness, Stone Pilsner is easy drinking 4.7% ABV Lager with clean orange, pear and watermelon notes that give way to a sweet corn chip finish.
Originally brought to the US by German immigrants, American Pilsners here have evolved considerably over the last decade Stone’s Pilsner is made with North American-grown ingredients and public varietal hops. “This beer is clean and crushable, with a light touch of Cashmere and Vista hops for good measure.

Blue Buried & Lemon Made (Ipswich, MA) – True North Ale Company has a fun new addition to its highly successful Sour Series, that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Fermented with blueberry and Meyer lemon purées to produce bright flavors of blueberry lemonade and blueberry pastry True North Turning Violet! is a 5% ABV Fruit Sour with a pleasantly tart character and a refreshing herbal citrus finish.

Pineapple Powered (Charlotte, NC) -Sycamore Brewing, a top three craft brewery in North Carolina, has a new addition to their summer roster that they describe as a “big beer, without a big bite.” Crafted with pineapple-centric hops with real pineapple fruit, Sycamore Pineapple Swing is a MASSIVE 9.1% ABV Hazy IPA that was heavily dry hopped after fermentation with Sultana, El Dorado and Idaho 7. And copious amounts of real pineapple were added after fermentation to bring out the pineapple flavor further.
Sycamore’s new summertime IPA is hazy pale orange in color, is available for a limited time beginning in late May wherever Sycamore beer is sold in 16 oz cans – 4-packs, as well as in the Sycamore Brewing taproom located in Charlotte’s South End, one of the largest tap rooms in the US.
