The 18th Autumn Brew Review For You (Minneapolis, MN) – The annual Autumn Brew Review returns to Northeast Minneapolis this Saturday, September 15th. And due to construction at the Grain Belt complex this year, the festival is moving just down the road to Hall’s Island where the stunning views of downtown Minneapolis and the river will not disappoint! This year’s celebration (one of the largest and oldest beer events in the state) will showcase more than 100 of the region’s most exciting breweries in spectacular setting. So no excuses…be there!
TV Time & Streaming – HBO recently introduced a compelling limited series based on Gillian Flynn’s (Goodbye Girl) debut novel of the same name. Sharp Objects stars Amy Adams as an emotionally troubled reporter who returns to her small Missouri hometown to cover the murders of two young girls. And Patricia Clarkson give an Emmy-worthy performance as her mother, a small-town socialite with her own secrets to hide.
On The Big Screen – When the week’s most notable new movie is another in the increasingly disappointing Predator franchise, you’ve reason to drink. CNN’s Brian Lowery describes The Predator this way… “Seeking to relaunch the long-running franchise, this latest sequel crumbles underneath a wearisome mix of gore and broad comedy, yielding a laundry list of shortcomings from which it’s possible to run, but not hide.” So we suggest you spend your money on beer, not on a franchise that should have never been exhumed.
Fall Drinking Hudson Valley Style (Beacon, NY) – Wine’s not the only thing that the Hudson Valley is known for nowadays…Craft beer is now its own draw up that way. The 6th annual Hudson River Craft Beer Festival returns to Riverfront Park this Saturday September 15th and it might be the region’s best craft beer festival yet. Enjoy your early fall weekend sampling over 150 releases from the region’s best breweries while enjoying live music, delicious artisan food and spectacular Hudson River views.

Melding Germany’s dark lager instincts with America’s pumpkin beer tradition, Elysian Dark Knife Pumpkin Schwarzbier is a 4.3% ABV hybrid that’s brewed with an abundance of German Northern Brewer and Saaz Hops that only 90 lbs. of pumpkin, cinnamon and ginger can temper.
