3 Doors Down Founding Member Dies (West Bend, WI) – Matt Roberts, founding lead guitarist for 3 Doors Down died early Saturday morning in Wisconsin. Only 38, he was travelling to a charity event for veterans and was discovered according to CNN, “either asleep or passed out in the hallway of his hotel” The lead guitarist who left the band in 2012 had struggled with addiction problems in the past. And he was only 38…sad.

The Opposite of Cold Storage (Columbus, OH) – A fire at the ironically named Dick Cold Storage in a Columbus, Ohio neighborhood destroyed the headquarters of 17th Star Distributing and the entire inventory of beer from new craft brewery Common house Ales last Saturday with losses reportedly “in the five digits.”

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all the breweries who ship us beer from time to time.
