American Craft Beer Celebrates Black Beer Friday

Although we’ve been known to graze a craft beer store (or two) in our time…. we’re generally not big shoppers here at the American Craft Beer offices. We don’t frequent the malls if we can help it and we’d rather shoot ourselves than shop on what many say is the biggest shopping day of the year. We’ve got a better idea than fighting the shopping hordes on Black Friday….We’re starting a new holiday tradition. We’re bringing in Black Beer Friday!

You can celebrate Black Beer Friday anywhere, but we do have some suggestions. Choosing a location as far as humanly possible from a shopping mall is extremely important. Your favorite Bar or Brewpub is as good a place as any to start the festivities (as long they’ve something dark as winter on tap.) A back-yard fire pit that’s roaring is an even better place to celebrate.

When it comes to the perfect beer for today we’re pretty open. Porters and Stouts are obvious moves, but a brilliant Black IPA is always welcome. Pitch black Belgians, bring them on! Oak Barrel brews are also a good move as long as they’ve been aging like a hundred years and pour thick and black as night. Black Forest Lagers are always a great opener, especially if you start celebrating right after breakfast as we do.

No matter which dark beer you choose, It’s just important that you’re part of the celebration….Black Beer Friday is America’s newest (and we think, most important) holiday tradition AND IT IS ON!

Wishing you the best Black Beer Friday ever…..

Cheers
