AC Golden Brewing, a special innovation brewery in Colorado that only uses locally sourced malts, hops and water is juicing up its beer offerings.

Based on grounds of Coors’ mega-brewery in Golden Colorado, the brewery has its own mission, brand and identity. It’s home to the Colorado Native beer line, a brand growing faster than every craft in the state, up 22% since 2019.

AC Golden’s history can be traced back to 2007 when Pete Coors informed his team of pilot brewers that they were all part “of Golden Brewing Company now,” a separate brewery within the larger brewery committed to brewing beers using ONLY Colorado ingredients, experimental beers that would only be available in Colorado.

A brewery that was allowed to explore new directions and even fail without eating up millions of dollars.

And now AC Golden, which can only be purchased in Colorado, is juicing things up with its first-ever year-round IPA variety pack, which features three beers packed with bright citrus flavors the big-hop aroma.

That 12-pack – dubbed the Juicy IPA Pack – is already Colorado’s third-best-selling IPA variety pack, according to IRI data.

AC Golden’s Juicy IPA Pack features three juice bombs: All the Juice, a tropical IPA clocking in at 6.5% ABV; Orange Haze, a 7.3% ABV hazy IPA built on orange and tangerine flavor; and Sneaky 8, a citrusy, hop-forward 8% ABV Double IPA.

“It’s been exciting to see it take off,” says Jeff Cornell, AC Golden’s general manager told Beer & Beyond. “We know there’s a lot of runway in the hazy-juicy IPA space.”

The introduction of the Juicy IPA Pack marks a departure for the 15-year-old brewery, a flex of its creative muscles in an effort to find new avenues to growth within Colorado.

“We’ve been making some really cool beers for a long time, but now we get to share them with the public,” Cornell added…

“We’re not walking away from our history. This is more of a new dimension for us, where we’re taking that brewing credibility we’ve earned and starting to show people what we can really do.”
