Summer’s days are numbered and we’ll soon be transitioning to fall…And we’ve a number of interesting new releases guaranteed to ease you through the changing seasons.
Oktoberfest Best (Chico, CA) – Sierra Nevada has announced that they’ve partnered with the legendary Brauhaus Miltenberger to craft this fall festival beer. Explained as an attempt to “re-create a classic Oktoberfest beer in the true German tradition,” the 2017 Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest is a 6.1% ABV deep golden Märzen Lager that in spite of its rich malt backbone remains light and crisp.
Tart Times (Ft Collins, CO) – Odell Brewing has a new limited release that’s brewed to be enjoyed ‘rain or shine,’ day or night. Described as “a delicate balance of hops and tart’ Odell Sunny Rain Golden Tart is a welcome 6% ABV exercise in soured sweetness that proves that not all sours need to be all that sour.
Sunflower Powered (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewing says goodbye to summer with their latest Brewhouse Rarities Series “small batch” offering. Flying Dog’s Sunflower Pilsner is a 5.2% ABV classic Pils enhanced with fresh sunflower petal.
Ecstatic And Aromatic (San Leandro, CA) – Drake’s Brewing is doubling-down on hops, and doubling-down on dry-hopping, with their latest limited release. As aromatic as it is aggressive, Drake’s Aroma Coma is 8% ABV India Pale Ale brewed with troubling amounts of Citra hops and an unapologetic attitude.
Back In Black (Newport, OR) – On August 1st Rogue Ales (& Spirits) will be rolling out something thunderous – so know that you’ve been warned! Brewed with grains grown at Rogue Farms and aged in Dead Guy Whiskey-soaked oak barrels, 2017 Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout is a complex and lingering 14% ABV pitch black Imperial with deep sherry tones
