These are no longer normal times…So why drink something normal?

And we’ve more new releases that pair smartly with COVID-19 drinking games.

Fukushu You (Portland, OR) – On Friday, July 10, the award-winning Von Ebert Brewing, will release the latest beer from its acclaimed Heritage Beer Series

An intermingling of foeder-fermented, mixed culture beer and a puncheon-aged, mixed culture farmhouse ale, with Japanese Fukushu kumquats and a specially curated green tea mix added, Von Ebert Shaku Yamame is a 5.6% ABV blend with a bright citrus flavor and an earthy character.

“We thought adding green tea to the beer would give it a really nice tannic quality,” explained Sean Burke, head brewer, Von Ebert Glendoveer.  “It also ended up producing a really cool drying effect that hits you as you’re drinking the beer.”

Lemon-Made Stand (LaGrange, GA) – Wild Leap Brewing has a new addition to its popular Truck Chaser Series that’s crafted to taste like a frozen lemon Italian ice. Brewed using fresh puréed lemon and real vanilla bean with milk sugar added to give the beer a creamy sweetness, Wild Leap Truck Chaser Lemon Ice is an 8.1% ABV India Pale Ale  that combines the flavors of a frozen lemon treat with a big, juicy IPA.

Dragon’s Milk Variation Goes Year-Round (New Holland, MI) – Beginning in August New Holland Brewing will begin offering something as ambitious as it could be delicious. Dragon’s Milk Solera is a 10 percent ABV Imperial Stout blend, a mix of a mix of different aged beers that are combined using a fractional blending method known as (you got it) Solera.

Solera, which incorporates the brewery’s original Dragon’s Milk Imperial Stout as its base, will join other New Holland variations, including Dragon’s Milk Reserve Raspberry Lemon and Dragon’s Milk Reserve with Coffee & Chocolate.
