Heavy Seas is proud to have the Clean Water Fund as our primary charitable beneficiary.

We support clean water for one simple reason: Without clean water there is no beer!

Heavy Seas donates a portion of each case of beer we sell to Clean Water Fund. To ensure that your purchases benefit clean water efforts where you live, Clean Water Fund directs these donations proportionally back to the regions where Heavy Seas beers are sold.

Clean Water Action Maryland has been working with Baltimore City activists and partner organizations for years to address concerns regarding volatile and explosive crude oil shipments being transported via rail through Maryland. This summer, the team won a major victory when a plan to build a large export terminal that would have dramatically increased oil shipments through Maryland was withdrawn. 

The Baltimore City Council is now considering legislation that would have the Health Department conduct studies of the risks and health impacts of these dangerous shipments. After nine months of stalling, the CWF volunteer team staged a protest three weeks ago that resulted in a public hearing on the bill being scheduled for Nov 1st! To support this important campaign to protect our waterways and our communities, email the City Council here and RSVP to attend the hearing here.
