, Widmer Brothers Looks To The Spring With New 2017 Beer Lineup

Portland Oregon’s heritage brewers, Widmer Brothers have announced their plans for 2017 and it looks like they’ll be keeping things interesting.

This year’s core lineup will consist of five specially positioned offerings including their classic Hefe, their popular Upheaval IPA, PDX Pils, a hoppy Pilsner that was first brewed back in 2015, their classic Steel Bridge Porter and Drop Top Amber.

They’ll also be building on the Hefe legacy with a new series of seasonal variations starting with Hefe Hopfruit, a hazy citrus-forward 4.5% American Hefeweizen fueled grapefruit peel and Citra and Chinook hops juice bomb that’s now available and will be through April.

May will see the debut of Hefe Berry Lime a lime-driven Hefeweizen planned for the summer months and Hefe Blood Orange is planned for the fall.

Widmer Bothers will also feature an additional series of three different seasonals in 2017.  Their terrific cold-fermented 6.7% Hopside Down IPL is out there now, Drifter Pale Ale will come out of retirement for the summer months and Brr Hoppy Red will return for the winter holidays.

The brewery will further punctuate 2017 with regular small batch and experimental offerings, Collaborator Series releases, and special titles like the return of their beloved Kill Devil Brown Ale planned for later this year., Widmer Brothers Looks To The Spring With New 2017 Beer Lineup
