The 2018 ST PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND PICKS

St, The 2018 ST PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND PICKS

Happy St Patrick’s Day Weekend…And we’ve all kinds of festive ideas for you. From the nation’s coolest St Patrick’s Day events, to movies, music and cutting edge TV – we’ve got your back big-time.  Plus we’ve another weekend beer suggestion for you, because we know you’ll be drinking.

A Classic Irish Pub Crawl (Planet Earth) – With St Patrick’s Day falling on a Saturday this year it’s a perfect time to rediscover one of America’s greatest drinking (and slowly disappearing) treasures – the Irish pub. Few understand drinking as being at the center of social engagement and entertainment like the Irish, and they’ll be in full-on celebratory mode all weekend. Be sure to commit to more than just making a token appearance (a fast Érin Go Bragh and goodbye). A true Irish pub experience is an EVENING of music, drink and friends…not an hour.

St, The 2018 ST PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND PICKSTV Time & Steaming – What better time to return to the horror/comedy Leprechaun seven film franchise than St Patrick’s Day? This is cheesy horror and humor at its B-movie best. We suggest you start with the original Leprechaun (you can find it on most streaming services). It stars Jennifer Aniston in her film debut and Warwick Davis as the vengeful leprechaun who believes a family has stolen his pot of gold (no surprise there). Often referred to as one of the worst horror franchises of all time, we admit that the Leprechaun series is an acquired taste – but one that goes well with Guinness.

On The Big Screen – You live long enough and even bad film franchises like the Laura Croft: Tomb Raider  (which began in 2001 and thankfully went away in 2003) get a reboot. The original series starred Angelina Jolie as the video gaming to film heroine (and she’s obviously aged out of that role). In the new Tomb Raider which opens nationwide this weekend, the no less beautiful Alicia Vikander stars as Lara Croft and that alone ‘might’ be worth the price of admission.

Georgia’s Largest Craft Beer Fest & St Patrick’s Day Celebration! (Suwanee, GA) – Considered by many to be the biggest and best run beer festival in the South, the 2018 Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest is returning to Town Center Park this Saturday, March 18th …and as its St Patrick’s Day, things could get wild. This year’s afternoon beerganza will feature almost 300 offerings, (including some special festival-only beers) from more than 100 of the country’s best breweries including many of the south’s acclaimed new breweries…hotties like Atlanta’s New Realm Brewing. The idea of major craft beer festival being held on St Patrick’s Day is finally a reality – so don’t miss this one!
