Last year while touring Scotland’s spectacularly scenic  countryside we kept coming upon craft breweries we didn’t even know existed…And now VisitScotland  the country’s Brewers Association have unveiled a new craft beer map that’s going to make your next trip to the highlands that much better!

Designed by Scotland’s national tourism agency along with The Brewers Association of Scotland, the new interactive map is a tremendous asset to both the world’s beer tourists and the region’s growing craft beer scene.beer, Scotland’s New Interactive Craft Beer Map

Beer is thought to have first been brewed in Scotland more than 5,000 years ago and today the country has more than 115 regional breweries, from its Shetland Islands to its urban hubs like Edinburgh and Glasgow and down to its southern borders.

The interactive map (which currently displays the details for more than 70 breweries) was designed to be easily updated by the brewers themselves and offers tour times and brewery profiles that will enrich the visitor experience.

The map, which took more than three months to produce, includes exciting award-winning operations like Tempest Brew Co in the borders, Glasgow’s West Beer, Swannay Brewery in the Orkney Islands, Black Isle’s organic brewing in Inverness and Scotland’s historic St Andrews Brewing Company.beer, Scotland’s New Interactive Craft Beer Map

And given this map’s ease of use we expect the number of breweries it elegantly showcases to grow almost weekly.

Okay we’ve hyped Scotland’s Craft Beer Map enough and you can check it out HERE.
