Indianapolis, Indiana-based Bier Brewery has garnered a considerable reputation over the years not only for their beers (they’re one of most awarded breweries in the state) but also for Sarah Buschmann’s remarkable chalkboard beer list art that graces their taproom.

This week Bier Brewery canned its Chica Internacional, an International Pale Ale similar to a Mexican Lager that was awarded bronze at the 2017 Best of Craft Beer Awards in Bend, Oregon.
And Sarah’s can and chalkwork is a homage to her sister who she describes as a major ‘chica’ who lived with her family in Puerto Rico and left the island only three months prior to Hurricane Maria’s devastation.
