Zendaya Inspires First Ever Non-Alcoholic Shandy Beer Line

BERO, actor Tom Holland and CEO John Herma’s buzz-free beer line, has announced what may be the first-ever collection of non-alcoholic Shandies. A Shandy, which is commonly called a Radler in Europe, is a beer and lemonade blend that was invented by a German innkeeper, Franz Kugler back in the roaring 20’s, as a refreshment that catered to sports cyclists.

Tom Holland (Spiderman) has openly shared that the line was inspired by his fiancée, Zendaya (Euphoria). She’s doesn’t drink alcohol and is not a fan of traditional beer flavors, so Holland and his team developed these fruit-forward, approachable blends specifically as a premium option she could genuinely enjoy.

“To be honest, I created the BERO Shandy for Z. She’s never been a beer drinker, so I wanted to bring something new to the table that she could enjoy,” said Tom Holland, Co-Founder of BERO. “I’ve always loved shandies, so exploring that style with BERO felt like the perfect next step.”

These Shandies are formulated with 30% BERO Kingston Golden Pils lager and 70% lemonade, infused with real fruit juices and premium botanicals to keep each option under 100 calories.

And here’s how BERO describes them:

• Daybreak Shandy (Lemon Lime) – Fresh lemon-lime citrus over a crisp lager base. Balanced, bright, and refreshingly tart.
• Golden Hour Shandy (Grapefruit) –  Vibrant pink grapefruit layered into a smooth lager for a citrus-forward pour with mellow sweetness and an easy finish.
• Sunset Shandy (Elderflower)  Delicate elderflower and bright lemon layer together. Floral, lightly sweet, and beautifully complex.
• Midnight Shandy (Blackberry Yuzu) – Ripe blackberry tartness meets the herbal edge of yuzu citrus, balanced for a bold, memorable sip.

True Acts Of Beer Altruism

Hershey, PA-based Tröegs Independent Brewing  has returned an altruistic program that encourages its fans to “drink great beer and do great things.” As part of its Perpetual Giving campaign, the family-owned brewery will donate a portion of proceeds from sales of Perpetual IPA (the best-selling craft beer in Pennsylvania) to Feeding Pennsylvania.

Feeding Pennsylvania is dedicated to securing food and other resources to reduce hunger and food insecurity across the commonwealth. Its network of food banks spans across all 67 counties and serves more than 1.2 million people annually. In 2023, its inaugural year, the program contributed nearly $25,000 to the organization.
