Craft Beer Distributor For The Little Guy (Denver, CO) – We recently noted in our Craft Beer Predictions, that we thought the industry would see more new distribution companies dedicated to the smaller craft breweries in 2017. Now Westword is reporting that Tom Jasko and Christopher McGraw have opened Colorado Craft Distributors in west Denver hoping to serve those small and special breweries looking to get their names and their products into retail outlets, bars and restaurants in that region.

A Quality Brewers Association Hire (Boulder, CO) – As part of their continuing mission to promote quality in brewing, the Brewers Association has named Mary Pellettieri as their first-ever Quality Instructor. In this role, Pellettieri will work with the BA Quality Subcommittee to help address brewing quality practices, systems and parameters.

What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – Dominion Brewing just sent us an historic limited release that was originally brewed in 1993 to commemorate the brewery’s 1000^th batch of beer…and because we’ve little restraint, we hit it up immediately. Dominion Millennium Ale is a huge 10.5% ABV English-style Barleywine that’s brewed with honey just to sweeten the deal.
