Yikes, we’re halfway through October already…and clearly the craft beer biz isn’t slowing down anytime soon. But no worries, Rumor Mill is always on the case, keeping you plugged in into all the beer news and lifestyle that matters. Plus we’ve an all-important update on what we’ve been drinking lately and you don’t want to miss that!
Anheuser-Busch SABMiller Merger Now A Done Deal (Planet Earth) – We meant to get to this into Quick Hits on Monday but we got sidetracked by the whole Stone Brewing Layoffs thing – and besides as we’ve written “ad infinitum” this year-long process was always a done deal anyway. Upon completion in 2018, Brew: The Museum of Beer will be a 50,000-square-foot celebration of beer in all its many aspects, an exhibition space and a 300-seat gastropub dedicated to America’s most beloved drink, that they project would draw hundreds of thousands of national and international visitors
What We’ve Been Drinking Lately (Washington, DC) – We’d like to thank all the breweries who ship us beer from time to time and this week we hit up a fresh fruit-forward year-round that we just received from Green Flash. Originally a “cask-only” offering Green Flash Tangerine Soul Style IPA is a bright orange, tangerine-infused 6.5% ABV India Pale Ale.
