Ska Brewing’s Kurt Randall
Just like the weather things are heating up in the world of craft beer. And here’s some of what’s been happening while you were drinking your way through the weekend.
Ska Gets Their Man! (Durango, TX) – Last Thursday Ska Brewing announced that Industry Vet Kurt Randall had been given the “keys to a brewing kingdom” and would assuming the role of Head Brewer at the Colorado-based brewing powerhouse.
A Colorado Brewer to the bone, Randall began his incredible ride 13 years ago when Flying Dog was still in Denver, where he rose from the bottling line to Head Brewer in four short years. He was most recently part of Great Divide’s quality control division before moving to Ska in 2015 to take on the position of Brewhouse Supervisor.

Wild Heaven Beer Plans 2nd Brewery (Atlanta, GA) – With the Georgia’s passage of a new law allowing direct sale of beer by Georgia breweries, Wild Heaven Beer has announced plans for a new $5 million, 15-barrel designer brewhouse that will be followed by a 60-barrel production brewery that will handle their flagship beers. Once their new facilities become operational their current Avondale Estates facility will focus on sour and barrel-aged beer production.
Beloved Craft Beer Gets Its Own Day! (Everywhere, USA) – Both a celebration of spring’s arrival and the release of the Michigan-based brewery’s award-winning seasonal Wheat Ale, Oberon Day is today. We’ve already “power-pounding” them here at the American Craft Beer compound, and we suggest that you get in the game as well.
