, QUICK HITS – Alaskan Brewing Gets Crafty, Boston Beer Sales Fall And More!Alaskan Brewing Asks The Consumer To Rate New Small Batch Beers (Juneau, AK) – Alaskan Brewing just announced a marketing and sales campaign built around their Taste of Alaska Sampler Pack that’s as innovative as it is kinda obvious. “Let’s ask our fans what they’d like us to brew more of”

The Taste Of Alaska Sampler Pack, which is built around the brewery’s flagship’s Alaskan Amber, White Ale and Icy Bay IPA will now also introduce smaller batch offerings like SMaSH Galaxy Imperial IPA, Spruce IPA, Sprucetopia Ale, Gold Creek Ale, Cream Ale, Cran-Spruce Ale and Grapefruit Shandy on a rotating basis.

Consumers who’ve had the opportunity to sample the small –batch offerings include in the sampler will be directed to their site where they can rate these new beers on a scale of 1 to 10 and even provide feedback if they want. The results will then become part of the decision-making process that dictates which beers get bottled and where they will be distributed. Nice!

And that’s what The Sam Adams founder reportedly blamed “wave of new beers” for the company’s disappointing full-year performance which saw sales and volume decline by a sobering 6% in 2016.
