, Newbies – More Winter Craft Beers For The Season

December is ON… and we’ve all the right beers for this time of year. Plus we’ve a special seasonal stout collection from Schlafly Beer that you’ll definitely want to get your sweaty little hands on.

All About “Stout Bout” (St Louis, MO) – The winter season speaks stout to us and the more varieties of stouts, the better. That’s why we were excited to learn that Schlafly Beer was returning the Stout Bout Variety 12-pack that they introduced last year. And here’s what’s in this year’s package:

  • Schlafly Vanilla Milk Stout (5.2% ABV) – This one’s smooth, rich and brewed with real vanilla beans – and it surprises with its hop-forward and mildly bitter finish.
  • Schlafly Toasted Coconut Stout (5.7% ABV) – This robust variation goes nuts with coconuts – not that that’s a bad thing.
  • Schlafly Mexican Chocolate Stout (6.2% ABV) – Brimming with chocolate and cinnamon flavors, this is the brewery’s decadent take on the traditional Mexican hot chocolate with a little buzz added.
  • Schlafly Coffee Stout (5.7% ABV) – Schlafly’s coffee stout variation is the one beer included that’s not new. In fact it’s a HUGE fan-favorite that they’ve been brewing for years and clearly not including it would just have been wrong!

Aged in red-wine barrels from California’s most prestigious vintners, and infused with cranberries from the backwoods bogs in New England, The Urchin is a 5.8% wood-toned and blended small-batch wonder  that benefits the region’s needy.

New Year Noire (Baltimore, MD) – Heavy Seas Beer has just announced the first Uncharted Waters Series release for 2017. Brewed with almost three pounds of coco imported from Belgium and wood-aged with vanilla beans, Heavy Seas Siren Noire is a 9.5% ABV Imperial Chocolate Stout aged in bourbon barrels.
