2017 has arrived with a vengeance…And we’ve all the right beers for the season. Plus we’ve a special island-only release from Maui Brewing that sounds insanely good.

Bravo Takes Another Bow (Paso Robles, CA) – For the first time in 12 years Firestone Walker is bottling a Vintage Reserve Series classic in the 12oz format. Set to ship in early February, Firestone Walker Bravo is an Imperial Brown Ale and the first beer matured in retired spirits barrels by Brewmaster Matt Brynildson way back in 2004. Going forward, the entire Vintage Reserve line of barrel aged beers will be bottled in the 12-ounce format so all those bombers you’ve been cellaring are now even more collectable.

Monkey See, Monkey Brew (Atlanta, GA) – SweetWater Brewing has a new spring seasonal scheduled to roll out in February that’s not afraid to get funky with a monkey. SweetWater Grass Monkey is a complex 5.4% Wheat Ale brewed with bright Lemondrop hops and aromatic lemongrass herbs.

, Newbies – More New Craft Beers You’ll Want To Chase DownBack In Black (Hood River, OR) – Full Sail Brewing recently released a hybrid variation of the year-round lager from their popular Session Black Series. Full Sail Session Black Cherry Black is a silky  smooth 5.4% ABV black lager with a dash of dark cherry flavor added to keep things interesting.

Bet On Black (St Louis, MO) -Schlafly Beer has just shipped the first from their new Hop Allocation Series and they’re betting on black this time around. Dark as a stout but very much an India Pale Ale, Schlafly Black IPA is as crisp and hoppy as a late winter night breeze and just as refreshing.

Black Pearl Returns (Kihei, HI) – O n Thursday January 26th, Maui Brewing will be releasing a special edition barrel-aged phenomenon at the brewery’s Kihei Tasting Room and Kahana Brewpub. The 2016 Black Pearl is a MASSIVE 12% ABV Imperial Coconut Porter that’s been aged to perfection in specially curated Rum barrels.
