The American Craft Beer Quick Hits – February 8, 2016

We blame the industry for this… It used to be that when we wrapped up our Weekend Picks on Friday, we could coast through the weekend. There was little need to check in for updates – things were pretty much done. But clearly all that’s changed.

So here’s some of what’s happened in the world of craft beer while you were off enjoying yourself.

, The American Craft Beer Quick Hits – February 8, 2016Ninkasi’s Jamie Floyd Agrees To Be Probed (Eugene, OR) – Maybe’s he’s not all that familiar with what we do here at ACB – or maybe his lawyer just wasn’t available. But whatever the reason, Ninkasi’s Jamie Floyd recently submitted himself to our 5 Stupid Questions – and unless hell freezes over, we’ll be running with it tomorrow!

ACB On The Town (Washington, DC) – We’d like to Jason Oliver and the entire Devils Backbone crew for having us to Meridian Pint last week to sample the 2016 Devils Backbone Adventure Pack. This year’s collaboration sampler includes a Double Dank Cream-style Ale that they brewed with Sun King out in Indianapolis, a Coffee & Oak Double Brown that they did with Surly, an awesome Session IPL that they brewed with NoDa in Charlotte, and a massive 8.4% Double Pacific Ale that they did with Australia’s Thunder Road. There’s also a spectacular 10.5% Imperial Stout they brewed with Wicked Weed down in Asheville, along with Devil Backbone’s award-winning Vienna Lager. Last year’s Adventure Pack was pretty damn impressive – and this year might even be better!
