, Newbies – 5 New Craft Beers You Need NowVictory Goes Back To The Blackboard (Downingtown, PA) – Victory Brewing recently introduced the Blackboard Series, which was designed by the brewery to unify craft beer with market-fresh culinary inspirations, similar to specials found on a blackboard in restaurants. And the third release from this inventive series is scheduled to hit retail over the July 4th weekend! Victory Berliner Weisse with Elderflower is a hazy tart Wheat Ale with woody, spicy and vanilla notes and a mildly floral finish.

Luponic Distortion Dos (Paso Robles, CA) – We just received the second release from Firestone Walker’sLuponic Distortion Revolving Hop Series and were invited to compare it up against Luponic Distortion 001 which originated this ever evolving sequence of IPA’s. Luponic Distortion 002 is loaded with and an exotic mashup of hops that have been remixed slightly to deliver an interesting new palate of flavors and aromas. It’s both a continuum of the original beer and a departure – and that’s what makes this ongoing series so intriguing.

Built to continue the legacy established last year by their Nirvana IPA, Ommegang’s  Great Beyond is an 8.8% ABV Double India Pale Ale with a juicy fruit-forward hop character and a resinous pine undertone.

Getting A Little Raddled (Frederick, MD) – Radlers Rule (and here’s why) – and now Flying Dog has released one as part of their Brewhouse Rarities Series. Leading with a huge grapefruit and hibiscus-driven tartness, Brewhouse Rarities Hibiscus Grapefruit Radler 4.2% take on a German summertime classic.
