More Things We’ll Be Hitting At This Week’s Craft Brewers Conference

, More Things We’ll Be Hitting At This Week’s Craft Brewers ConferenceIt’s all about Portland, Oregon this week, an awesome city and home the 2015 Craft Brewers Conference which officially kicks off today. Some 10,000 participants are in town for this thing – and the town is rocking.

The only problem is there’s too much to do, what with all the panel discussions and seminars going on. And that’s just at the conference itself. There are also all kinds of craft beer events taking place all over the city – and even though getting to all of them is impossible – we intend to cover as many as we humanly can.

You see, we’re on a mission from God – and this is the CBC!

We tipped you to the “opening activities” yesterday and if you haven’t already checked out – you need too…Now more things that we hope to drop in on, (and you might want to too).

Continental Breakfast Stop at the CBC – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (6:30 pm – 9:00 pm) – Starting your day at a conference food station is always a smart way to go. After all you were out partying last night till two in the morning – and no one likes to sit next to someone at a seminar who reeks of alcohol. Take this opportunity to decide if you look better or worse that the person next to you… There may still be time to go back to your room and take another shower.

Craft Beer Book Signings – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday – The CBC always sets up a special book signing area and presents a wonderful roster of craft beer authors and industry leaders who have new books out. This is your opportunity to get some one-on-one time with brewing legends like Brooklyn Brewery’s Steve Hindy and you don’t want to take a pass on something like that!

BrewExpo America – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday – BrewExpo America® is the largest brewing conference and trade show in the U.S., and this year it has been be extended to two and a half days. With 600 vendors all in one location, this is the place to shop for products and services for your brewery or brewpub and the perfect opportunity to meet leaders in the national and international brewing arena.

Seminars/Seminars/Seminars – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday – No matter what arm of the industry you’re currently working in, there’s something at this year’s conference for everyone. And with the new CBC mobile app you can set up your own event planning page and ensure that you know exactly where you’re going – and that you’re not embarrassingly late to everything like last year.

Crosby Farm Open House Party – Wednesday (6:00 pm – 12:00 am) – It’s time to get out of the Convention Center, get some air, have some fun, and hit the countryside. And the official event on Wednesday night is an open house at the Crosby Hop Farm – a beautiful place 35 miles southwest of Portland. Meet the hop growers, network, imbibe and listen to live music. Tour the certified salmon-safe farm and see how its pellet plant combines art and science to produce craft-worthy hops. Ride or drive: Optional, bus transportation by RSVP only departs from in front of the Convention Center at 5 PM (seats are limited).
