While the bulk of the region’s Oktoberfests have already concluded, including Oregon’s crown jewel at Mount Angel and Prost! Portland’s cozy Oktoberfest, there are still a few left to satisfy those German cravings. The second weekend of three goes off today and tomorrow at Washington’s top Oktoberfest venue in Leavenworth, which concludes the following weekend. If you prefer to stay closer to town, one of Portland’s Germanic brewers, Zoiglhaus, is hosting their own Oktoberfest tomorrow from 2 to 10pm and will feature live music, face painting, beer and food specials, not to mention a yodeling contest! Just outside of town, McMenamin’s Grand Lodge will also hold an Oktoberfest tomorrow, featuring live music, balloons and face painting for the kids, and locally crafted beer all day long.

And while Oktoberfests are a big deal here, even more so are the Fresh Hops festivals that seem to grow larger and more prevalent each and every year. And yes, the Fresh Hop Pop-Up at Burnside and the Portland Fresh Hops Fest have both passed, though one of the , Fresh Hop, Peach & Oktober Fests Abound in Portlandlargest and most popular is happening this weekend in Hood River. Delayed a few weeks due to the Eagle Creek fire in the Columbia River Gorge, the 15th Annual Hood River Hops Fest will feature over 60 fresh hop beers from 50 brewers, a variety of food vendors and 5 lives bands, all from Noon to 8pm tomorrow.

Last but not least is one of the newest festivals happening each year in Portland, a celebration of Peach craft beers, the 5th Annual Peche Fest. And while there are many places to be this weekend, this will be our first and foremost destination. The festival will feature 21 peach beers, 5 ciders and even peach themed food, all happening atone of our favorite taprooms, Saraveza.

Regardless of where you find yourself this weekend, be sure get out into this beautiful fall weather, share a pint with your neighbors, and celebrate another autumn filled with great beer and community!
