Principles be damned when you’re out having a good time…

A British survey found that one third of the vegetarians they asked, admitted to haven eaten meat when they’re drunk.

And we’ve five craft beer pairng suggestions we thought they might want also to consider.

A survey of 1789 British vegetarians that was run by the folks at the VoucherCodesPro website found that 34 percent of the respondents admitted to eating meat EVERY TIME they’re enjoying a drunken night on the town.

Every time? That doesn’t sound like a misstep on their part…that sounds like a full-blown directive.

And when these drunken hordes do succumb to their thinly repressed cravings for meat, they appear to go all in.

Here are the Top 5  meats that the survey found the drunken vegetarians were devouring (along with our own craft beer pairing ideas to keep things festive).

 

1) Kabobs – Turns out kabobs were the most popular misstep for vegetarians, with 39% of the respondents having admitted to feasting on some kind of kabob variation during a drunken night out. Suggested Beer Pairing: Arrogant Bastard – Stone Brewing – (Escondido, CA)

2) Burgers – A drunken staple whether you eat meat or not, 34% of the polled vegetarians crave burgers when they’re loaded…but then who doesn’t? Suggested Beer Pairing: Gamma Ray American Pale Ale – Beavertown Brewery – (London, UK)

3) Bacon – You saw this coming right? 27% of the vegetarians surveyed owned up to an elicit desire for piggy when they’re blasted. Suggested Beer Pairing: Maple Bacon Coffee Porter – Funky Buddha Brewery – (Oakland Park, FL)
