Cannabis Beer Arrives

cannabis, Cannabis Beer ArrivesIf you thought that legalized recreational cannabis wasn’t going shake up the drinks biz, you’d better check what you’ve been smoking. And one cannabis company is ready to upend what you’re drinking!

Cannabiniers is a cannabis brand management company that’s poised, along with a growing parade of pot entrepreneurs, to change the drinking experience as we know it.

In addition to already offering a whole line of coffees and tea products fueled on THC (the psychoactive compound in cannabis), the San Diego, California-based Cannabiniers is introducing the world’s first line of “non-alcoholic, THC and CBD-infused craft beer.

Marketed  under the Two Roots Brewing banner the new line of ‘craft beers’ will initially include a lager, stout, new west IPA, blonde ale, and a wheat beer that have been de-alcoholized using a state-of-the-art proprietary process.

But that’s only the first step, the beers are then infused with THC and (Cannabidiol (CBD) the medicinal compound found in a cannabis that’s supposedly good for one’s health, but doesn’t get you high.

According to The Manuel, the formula used in the Two Roots line of beers was designed to emulate the effects of alcohol, which will set in within five to 10 minutes and dissipate in less than two hours.

After all, the alcohol buzz is  a completely different head than the buzz you get from cannabis products…no?

And while the primary reason that people drink beer at all is for mood enhancement…it’s a certain kind of “mood enhancement’ that’s directly associated with alcohol that some are intentionally seeking.

Given that Two Roots beers deliver a cannabis buzz as opposed to an alcohol high, the drinking experience (which combines the senses and the head) will be something completely new.

Not better or worse necessarily…but new.

And whether that experience is preferable to current fans of craft beer remains to be seen, (it might even attract a whole new audience).

But whatever the outcome Cannabiniers is betting on it and many business analysts are as well
