The Bruery Moves East To DC

Bruery, The Bruery Moves East To DC

Southern California’s brewing icon, The Bruery, also home to Bruery Terreux and Offshoot Beer Co. has announced that they be opening a retail store in the Washington DC this fall.

This is their first move east of the Mississippi, a move that brings the Placentia, California operation somewhat closer to Castanea Partners, a Boston area private equity firm that as we reported, acquired a majority stake in the designer brewery in May.

Here’s how they positioned their future move…

Located in the heart of one of Washington, D.C.’s most exciting urban villages, The Bruery Store at Union Market District will provide easy access for Society members to pick up online purchases, along with onsite bottle and can sales, merchandise, gifts and potentially eight rotating taps for growler/crowler fills for Society members and the general public

Less than two miles north of Capitol Hill, The Bruery’s new 5000 square foot retail outlet will be housed in a recently renovated two-story building, which opened in 1931 as a small, independent butcher shop, Kramer & Sons.

Additionally, The Bruery Store at Union Market District be sharing that space with a “notable” retail partner and we’ll be interested who that might be…
