Sierra Nevada’s beer cocktail marries the simple pleasures of a refreshing spritzer with fresh orange juice and vodka.

This deceptively easy-to-make cocktail is crafted with Sierra Nevada’s popular Sunny Little Thing, a 5.4% ABV fruit-forward Wheat Ale with a citrusy edge. Unlike European counterparts, Sierra Nevada uses a very clean, neutral yeast that doesn’t produce heavy spice or fruit flavors. This beer tastes more like a standard blonde ale that affords a perfect base for this refreshing summertime refresher.

In addition to one can of Sierra Nevada’s widely available Sunny Little Thing you’ll need is a few basic ingredients to make this fruity little spritzer, but we suggest that you use a craft vodka if you can.

Let’s do this!

Sierra Nevada Sunny Little Thing Spritzer

Ingredients (one serving)

Ingredients

3 ounces Sunny Little Thing

0.5 ounce craft vodka

0.75 ounce orange juice

1 ounce Aperol

Directions

Step 1

Add ice to your glass and pour Sunny Little Thing.

Step 2

Add vodka, orange juice, and ice to cocktail shaker and shake.

Step 3

Slowly strain into the glass with Sunny.

Step 4

Slowly pour in the Aperol.

Step 5

Garnish with lemon zest and get back to the party!
