Fall has given way to winter in our latest collection of serious pre-Thanksgiving beer releases…And we’ve five interesting new craft beer directions (some of them ENORMOUS) that you’re gonna want to chase down as we go into the holidays.

Holiday Hopped (Bend, OR) – Deschutes has returned a holiday classic that’s a work of art in more ways than one. Now celebrating its 30th year in bottles, Deschutes 2017 Jubelale, is a malt-forward 6.7% ABV winter seasonal with a light herbal and spice quality. And For the first time ever, the  packaging will feature not one piece of artwork, but a whole  series of custom snowflake themed illustrations by Bend, Oregon artist, MaryLea Harris

Naughty And Nice (Portland, OR) – Lompoc Brewing is releasing a number of new beers for the holidays that are now available to both the naughty as well as to the nice. And even if you’re not one of the naughty, Lompoc Lump of Coal, an 8% ABV Imperial Porter fermented with and aged on sour cherries for six weeks, was crafted with you in mind.

A Canadian Bastard (Burlington, Ontario) – Canada’s Nickel Brook Brewing has released their own arrogant masterpiece, and it’s just in time for the winter holidays. Nickel Brook’s 2017 Kentucky Bastard Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout is a 12% ABV artful exercise in aging and blending excellence.

Previously released as Malefactor, Upland Crimson is an 11.2% ABV American take on a Belgian Flanders-style Red Ale, that’s been bourbon barrel-aged to perfection.

Snow Capped (Portland, OR) – Pyramid Brewing is bringing back a wintertime legend that was inspired by the snow-covered peaks of the Cascades. Dark brown and incredibly full-bodied, Pyramid Snow Cap Winter Ale is a 7% ABV flurry of dark malts and pleasant hop bitterness, that was kettle-hopped to flawlessness with Nugget, Willamette, and East Kent Goldings hop varieties.
