Even though much of the Northeast is still digging out from a late winter snowstorm, spring has sprung in our latest collection of new beers for 2018…And we’ve seven diverse craft beer directions that you might want to chase down while things warm up.

Hempted (Ft Collins, NY) – New Belgium recently announced a new April release that they brewed with blend of hops and hemp resulting in what might possibly be whole new category of hoppy beer. Described as a HPA rather than an IPA, The Hemperor is a 7% ABV IPA that uses hemp terpenes (the essence of hemp) not the mood-enhancing cannabinoid THC compound , to tone the beer (we know some of you are dissapointed about that).beer, Beer Alert – New Hemp IPA’s, Golden Sours And Imperial Milk Stouts!

Golden Sours (Charlottesville, VA) – We think that Three Notch’d is one of central Virginia’s most exciting and innovative brewers and their Sour House which specializes barrel-aged exotics and Wild Ales recently bottled a world-class blend! Named in honor of the Kentucky farm where Captain Jack Jouett was laid to rest Peeled Oak Golden Sour is a 6.2% ABV blend that was aged to perfection in oak barrels with a special proprietary house culture.

Evil All Year (Bend, OR) – Goodlife Brewing has a new year-round addition to their portfolio that’s twice as evil as it once was. Originally brewed for the Oregon Brewers Festival in 2013 and  returning but once a year ever since that debut, Goodlife Evil Sister Double IPA is an 8.5% ABV Imperial India Pale that’s evil incarnate and now available 365 days of the year!

Time To Get Worthy (Bend, OR) – Worthy Brewing has returned one of their most popular IPAs, with a citrusy revamp this time around. An unapologetic celebration of Ekuanot, Amarillo, and Mandarina Bavaria hops, Worthy Kama Citrus is a 6.2% ABV fruit-forward India Pale Ale that’s infused with real blood orange and guava to keep things tropical

Tears of My Enemies is a 9.3% ABV Imperial Milk Stout loaded with locally made milk chocolate, Ugandan vanilla beans and coffee from locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson. And they’ve just returned three aged variations of that infamous Milk Stout, one aged in apple brandy barrels, another aged in bourbon barrels and the third aged in scotch barrels. Yessssssssssss!
