Anthony Bourdain Dead At 61

Bourdain, Anthony Bourdain Dead At 61

I’m not going anywhere…I hope. It’s been an adventure. We took some casualties over the years. Things got broken. Things got lost. But I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”

                                                                                               Anthony Bourdain (1956 – 2018)

Travel host, author, celebrity chef and ‘bigger than life’ television personality, Anthony Bourdain, who travelled the globe chronicling life and food was found dead in France…and it was apparently suicide.

Mr. Bourdain who had been hosting the show “Parts Unknown” on CNN for a number of years was in Strasbourg, France, working on an episode when he died. He killed himself in a hotel room, the network said.

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague,” CNN said in a statement…

Bourdain was a rock star in his field and like many a rock star his renegade style and bad boy persona both attracted and engaged…It also might have served to hide….

A friend of ours who knew Bourdain would casually refer to him as a ‘force of nature.’

And now that force of nature has put an end to his life…sad.
