Here’s the deal…

According to Behind the Beer, a very decent MillerCoors blog which covers the industry, the company has confirmed that they’ll be contract brewing an IPA, summer ale and stout at Sleeping Giant in Denver to be sold, at least initially, in Florida and California.

4 Pines which operates four outlets around Sydney, was acquired last September through AB InBev’s ZX Ventures division. And as we reported at that time expanding their brand beyond Australia was one of their directives.Australian, Anheuser-Busch Bringing Australian ‘Crafty’ To The US

But we have to admit that we expected their overseas expansion to look towards Southeast Asia where craft beer is still in its more youthful and less competitive stages. Not to United States, a more mature craft beer market that many industry analysts worry is fast approaching a saturation point.
