The Festival 2017 (Atlanta, Ga) – One of the nation’s best International drinking events returns to Atlanta’s Southern Exchange this weekend and really there’s nothing like it anywhere on the planet. Presented by the legendary importers Shelton Brothers The Festival is two days (Aug 18th-19th) of serious drinking featuring the world’s greatest (and in many cases rarest) artisan beers, ciders and meads.
On the big Screen – Director Stephen Soderbergh’s latest debuts this weekend and if fast cars and women appeal to you might want to check it out. Showcasing a rich cast that includes Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and Danial Craig, Logan Lucky is a crime comedy about two brothers attempting to pull off a heist during a NASCAR race in North Carolina.
TV Time & Streaming – Netflix recently debuted a darkly humorous crime thriller series that’s serious fun. Ozark stars Jason Bateman stars as Marty Byrde, a financial whiz in Chicago who also launders cartel money on the side. When things go south, he’s forced to relocate his family to the Ozarks and find a way to pay off a debt to a brutal Mexican drug lord. Bateman’s great as the in-over-his-head everyman in a Breaking Bad spiral, and Laura Linney is even better as his cheating yet increasingly supportive wife.
Collaboration Sensation (Seattle, WA) – The Washington Beer Commission will be hosting one of our favorite events this Saturday August 19th when the Washington Beer Collaboration Festival returns he South Lake Union Discovery Center lawn. This year’s beerganza will 27 never-before collaborations created by 50 different Washington State and it really shouldn’t be missed.

We’ll be celebrating this weekend with the latest OneHitter Series release from Lagunitas. Pumped out of its mind on Simcoe, Tomahawk and Mosaic hops, Lagunitas Sakitumi (love the name!), is a ginormous 9% ale that was brewed with Sake yeast and rice.
