Belgian Ales Tales In The UK (London, England) – The UK is celebrating its Belgian neighbors this weekend and more importantly, and they’ve built a whole festival dedicated to the beers that they brew. This Friday and Saturday (June 21st-22nd) London’s great Oval Space will be hosting Ales Tales Belgian Beer Festival the first beer celebration in London totally dedicated to Belgian-style ales.
On The Big Screen – One of the summer’s most anticipated new movies opens this weekend already riding a huge wave of critical buzz. A departure for Director Christopher Nolan, better known for upscale superhero flicks like the Batman series, Dunkirk is a World War II epic, more in keeping with Oscar-winning films like Saving Private Ryan, than smart popcorn movies like Inception
Music / Music / Music (Paris, France) – The City of Light is hosting Lollapalooza Paris 2017 this weekend (July 22nd-23rd) – and to all of you already over there – we’re jealous but have great time. This year’s headliners include the likes of Chance the Rapper, The Killers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and as we’ve already admitted, we’re jealous.
Raise A Pint By Lake Champlain (Burlington, VT) – Part of what makes for a great beer festival is its location. Of course, beer is vitally important, but great beer in a spectacular setting is impossible to beat. And that’s the reason we ALWAYS return to the Vermont Brewers Festival which is taking place this weekend (July 21st-22nd), on the shores of Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains cresting in the background. This year’s two-day, beerganza which is making its 25th return will feature offerings from nearly 50 of the region’s most dynamic breweries including New England heavy hitters players like The Alchemist and Lawson’s Finest, so you absolutely don’t want to miss it!

With the dog days of summer now upon us, we’re plan on keeping things reasonable this weekend with something from Eel River, a brewery we respect over in Fortuna, California. Crisp and infused with passionfruit and kiwi, Eel River Tropical Blonde Ale 5.3% is a “draft only” Fruit Beer that’s organic and pairs well with the sweltering heat.
